These are alpine specific versions of our flagship pro 1 and pro 2 programs run at lower ratios and designed to meet the needs of alpine and ice climbers.

These programs are designed for professional who work in mountaineering, alpine climbing, and ice climbing terrain and are looking for professional education that meets the needs of assessing and managing hazard and risk in these settings.

Please use our standard applications for the pro 1 and pro 2 programs that are linked below and also on the primary pro 1 and pro 2 program pages.

The alpine-focused programs meet all pro 1 and pro 2 standards and can be used for to meet the requirements for pro avalanche education for the American Mountain Guides Association programs. Silverton Avalanche School is in its 4th year of running successful alpine focused professional education after piloting the first US based alpine program in 2023.
